Apple Store's problems could be linked to new TVs

Users have reported problems accessing the Apple Store as the online retailers across the world went down Wednesday morning for no specified reason.
The Apple store usually goes down for a time on Tuesdays for a regular maintenance period. This morning some users saw Apple’s usual message: ‘We’re Updating The Store.”According to thinq.co.uk, Apple normally uses a 'Back Soon' sticky note that often indicates a new product is coming when the store goes down.
The best guess on that would be new Apple TVs containing A5 CPUS and 1080p. Cult of Macreports that Best Buy of Mexico has been unloading its inventory of Apple TV units for no known reason.
But a server malfunction actually appears to be the problem, according to Fortune Tech. The Apple store would not respond to requests from its own Web browser and instead showed an error message for potential visitors that read: "the server where this page is located isn't responding."
Mac Rumors reports that people have suggested everything from a major failure at one of Apple's data centers to a potential denial-of-service attack as the reason for the crash.
Later reports say some users have been able to access Apple's stores, but others are still having problems connecting to the store. Geek.com reported the site came back up, as of 11:20 a.m., and said the problem was simply a server malfunction, and there were no new products in the Apple store. The store was down for a total of 3 hours and 46 minutes.
Apple has not commented on the problem to this point.
